Ciara Covers February 2019 Edition of Vogue Arabia

The R&B singer has landed her first ever VOGUE cover. The cover is both in English and Arabic as pictured below:

Inside this edition Ciara dishes about her upcoming album, which she says is one of her best works ever. Here's an excerpt from the interview:

“I’m super excited and my vision for this project is to inject love into the world with dance,” she explains. This is not like any other album, as most of the work in studio was done while Ciara was eight months pregnant with her second child, daughter Sienna, the result of her marriage to NFL quarterback Russell Wilson. “There was something really special about that. Being a mother of two made me feel even more confident, inspired, and fearless,” she shares, when asked if motherhood reshaped her as an artist."

UPDATE: Jussie Smolett Victim of a Hate Crime

UPDATE: More details have emerged since we first broke this story. The updates have been included and highlighted below.

Actor and Empire star Jussie Smolett was a victim of a hate crime early this morning. The attack occurred around 2AM in Chicago, where Jussie resides while filming the hit FOX show. Preceding the attack, Jussie received hate mail, which can be seen below. Jussie had stopped at a Subway in the wee hours of the morning where he was confronted by two men upon exiting. One yelled, "Aren't you that f***ot 'Empire' n*****?" They proceeded to beat Jussie and poor bleach on him. He sustained a fractured rib as a result of the attack. 

Two men wearing ski masks placed a noose around Jussie neck following the attack. The actor is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment for his injuries. The investigation is still developing. 

We here at HG Reacts wish Jussie a full and speedy recovery and hope CPD finds and charges the men with a hate crime.

TI Posts Rules for the Super Bowl, and the Internet is NOT Having It

Rapper TI took to Instagram to school ATL Super Bowl attendees on the rules for visiting Atlanta and he was dragged by the internet. This post comes after TI stated that he will be boycotting this year's Super Bowl. He is quoted saying:

“I think there is a violation of constitutional rights being implemented to minority players who choose to have a peaceful, silent protest,”

Many feel that if he's not even going, why bother posting these 'rules'.

Here's what one ATLien had to say in response.

1. There is a 50/50 chance that the person taking your money in a random parking lot, actually works for the person that owns the parking lot. Therefore, you have to charge it to the game if your rental car is gone when you get back. Don't even trust the nice printed signs, folks know how to go over to the damn kinkos.
2. Don't walk up to random black folks trying to buy drugs. That is offensive and you probably need your a** kicked in for that sh**.
3. If beautiful black women ignore your goofy, overweight a** in your town, guess what? We don't want you here. Take that 3 inches home to your wife. Because you will get robbed.
4. Leave that MAGA sh** at home. You will get your a** beat here.
5. See #4, seriously the entire place will team up on you if get too trashed and say some racist sh**.
6. Take an uber because if you leave your car in downtown overnight.... well..... that's where the crackheads be after dark.
7. Dancers are amazing and talented. Respect them!!!!
8. Do not play stupid games with the homeless. Offer to buy them a fu**ing meal. Fu**, you just spent $5k to fly over here from a nowhere state.
9. The varsity is vile. No further comment.
10. The westside is growing, but people will be pissed at you if come to their new restaurants being loud and obnoxious. Calm yourselves.
11. When you walk in the strip club you are playing for a service. Do not go in there to be gross and not pay just so you can tell Bobby at work about all the huge black a**es you saw.... You will get cussed out. Be a fu**ing gentleman.

Blac Chyna and Kid Buu Get into Violent Altercation in Hawaii

Blac Chyna and her new rapper boo got into a violent fight during their vaca in Hawaii. It's been reported that Chyna accused Kid Buu of cheating and scratched him. His response was to slam her against the wall several times and choke her. Another hotel guest heard the fight and called 911. Chyna was not taken to the hospital when paramedics arrived. 

Kid Buu later took to his Instagram to post some cryptic messages. Wow, this guy is absolute trash.

Tisha Campbell Granted Restraining Order on Soon-to-Be Ex-Husband

Tisha Campbell has won a temporary restraining order against Duane Martin, her soon-to-be ex. The two are currently in the midst of a divorce. Tisha states the abuse began shortly after their wedding in 1996 and occurred as recently as December 2018. The documents were filed in January 2019.

Tisha is now speaking out.

"I can no longer live in fear of retaliation ... the need [to] press criminal charges for his acts overshadows the embarrassment of making his crimes against me public through this report."

We wish Tisha the best of luck and nothing but strength with this situation.

Keri Hilson Claims No One Pushed Her Out of the Industry

Singer and songwriter Keri Hilson took to twitter to let us know that she graciously left the music industry, at the height of her career she adds, on her own to handle some personal issues. The tweet is in response to someone, seemingly a fan wondering what a Keri Hilson song in 2019 would sound like and that the public pushed her out of the industry too soon.

While Ms. Hilson says she left the industry on her own, many would argue otherwise. In 2009, Keri released a remix to her single "Turning Me On" which she comes for Beyoncé stating:

I ain't tryin to start no mess
There's just somethin on my chest that I need to get off
Cause you turnin me off
Your vision cloudy if you think that you the best
You can dance she can sing but she need to move it to the left... (don't do it em)
She need to go have some babies
She needs to sit down, she fake

Also, in 2011, Juicy magazine asked Keri to hold a copy of their magazine with Beyoncé and Jay Z on the cover. Once she saw the couple on the mag, she declined. Watch the clip below.

Now everyone knows the Beyhive does NOT play when it comes to their fav. Looks like Keri's own actions got her cancelled by the people.

Fetty Wap & Alexis Skyy's Daughter Undergoes Emergency Brain Surgery

Little Alaiya Grace experienced excessive vomiting on a flight from Atlanta to New York and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Alaiya needed repair on the implant in her brain which assists in draining blood and fluids. She was born 3 months premature and suffers from hydrocephalus, which causes fluid in the brain.

It's reported that she's recovering and doing fine. Both parents are by her side.

Da Brat Still Owes $8 Million for Assault Case

Rapper Da Brat has yet to pay any restitution regarding the ruling from the case of her 2007 altercation which left the victim Shayla Stevens permanently disfigured and partially brain damaged. After serving 21 months in jail and being released in 2011, Da Brat was ordered to pay Ms. Stevens $6.4 million dollars in 2014 following the civil suit, which to this day, she has not paid a dime. The original amount has since rose to $8 million dollars due to interest. Da Brat briefly spoke about her money woes on a recent episode of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta. Watch the clip below. 

Tia Mowry Opens Up on Her Journey with Endometriosis

Actress Tia Mowry discussed her long journey with endometriosis. She had always had very painful menstrual cramps, which her doctor dismissed and told her to "run it off" or use a "heating pad". However, after years of dealing with the pain, Tia knew something wasn't right. After speaking to a friend, she was encouraged to see a specialist, which she did.

At age 25, she was diagnosed with endometriosis after undergoing surgery to determine the diagnosis. Scar tissue was found and removed and she was able to be free from endometriosis for 2 years. Unfortunately, the scar tissue re-appeared and her doctor informed her that if she wanted to have a baby, she would have to have another surgery, as well as change her diet to eliminate the chance of the scar tissue returning. It was at that time she learned that dairy and processed foods contributed to the inflammation that causes the disease.

She then went on a mission to cook and create her own recipes and was able to successfully conceive her son Cree, who she refers to as her miracle baby. After the strict dieting and lifestyle change, and giving birth to her son, she noticed her symptoms coming back if she wasn't careful about what she was eating. She then again changed up her diet to be able to conceive her daughter, Cairo.

She also talks about how we need to advocate for yourself and don't just listen to one opinion, if something doesn't feel or sound right, don't give up. This is a very inspirational story.

Soulja Boy and Nia Riley Have Major Fight Over Breakfast

The on again off again Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood couple is once again seen having a blow up, this time over breakfast. According to Nia, she fixed Soulja a plate and asked if he was hungry to which he replied 'no'. Then 20 minutes later he complains of her not fixing him any food and bringing it to him. Soulja almost says he's a rapper and he's young and doesn't know how to cook but catches himself and corrects to he doesn't have time to cook.

He then proceeds to head downstairs and they continue to argue as she watches the breakfast dishes. They then hurl insults about each others breath and dishes get broken. Whew, this is one toxic relationship and they cannot seem to get along at all. No wonder they are on marriage bootcamp.

Jada Pinkett Smith Visits The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Jada Pinkett Smith visited The Tonight Show to discuss why she jumped out of a plane, 'Holla' (the film), and her hit show Red Table Talk. The sky diving adventure was a gift from Jada to her husband Will Smith for his 50th birthday. The actress was terrified and said she will 'never do it again'. The whole experience will be documented on a special put together by husband Will Smith. 

Her movie 'Holla' is about a Palestinian woman who is trying to figure out how to keep her family traditions while growing up as a young woman in America. The movie is directed, written, and staring women, and all of the heads of department are women as well.

Red Table Talk is filmed in Jada's home and she doesn't plan on moving the location any time soon. Her mother and daughter co-host the show along side Jada. The inspiration behind the show is Jada just being nosy and wanting to talk to and learn more about people regarding difficult and important issues.

DMX Released from Prison

Rapper DMX has been released from prison today after being sentenced to one year for tax evasion. The rapper isn't exactly off scott free just yet as he still has been ordered to pay $2.3 million in restituion as well as enroll and attend outpatient programs for substance abuse and mental health. He plans to release another album now that his time has been served. Please make sure to follow the blog for updates.

Wiz Khalifa Purchases New Pad

Rapper Wiz Khalifa has just purchased him a nice spot. The newly constructed sprawling mansion is said to be purchased for 3 million dollars and features 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms and is nearly 6,000 square feet. Additional features include a pool, floating stairs, 24' ceilings, outdoor kitchen and a 7 car garage just to name a few.

Ray J Sells Scoot-E-Bike for Ridesharing

R&B Singer Ray J recently sold his ride share service Scoot-E-Bike for an undisclosed amount (rumored to be in the 7 figure range) to Canadian based company LOOPShare. The intent is to provide scooters to allow people to get around town easier. There are three versions available, a sit-down model, a vespa style and stand alone. We should be seeing these come available in the US and Canada soon with the future plan to go global.

Meek Mill, Jay Z and More Launch the Reform Alliance

Meek Mill, Jay Z, and more launch the Reform Alliance, a program aimed at reforming the current prison probation structure. The goal of the program is to eliminate sending offenders who have turned their life around back to prison for longer than necessary on technicalities (i.e. Meek Mill popping a wheelie). In the US today, there are currently 4.5 million people on parole or probation. This alliance start by freeing at least 1 million of those people over the course of the next five years.

Wendy Williams Mother-in-Law Allegedly Confirms Abuse

As we know talk show host Wendy Williams is on indefinite leave from her show. It has been reported that she is currently hospitalized while undergoing treatment for her Graves disease however her mother-in-law has a different story.

Wendy's mother-in-law says that her husband Kevin is abusing her and that is the real reason she has been absent from her show. It is said that she suffered horrific abuse at the hands of her husband to include chocking, kicking, and even punching Wendy in the face. It's also said that Wendy has been helping her husband cover up the abuse. Here is a quote from her mother-in-law regarding the witnessed abuse.

“I saw Kevin choking out Wendy! Another time, I witnessed him kicking the s–t out of her and pushing her down the stairs,” Pearlet Hunter told The ENQUIRER exclusively.

This is horrible news. We all know that Wendy has stepped on alot of toes and ruffled alot of feathers back in the day but no one deserves to be abused. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

This news comes behind superstar Rihanna turning down the opportunity to headline the show, standing in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick on police brutality and racial injustice within the black community. Jay Z is reported to have attempted to talk Travis Scott out o performing and also turned down the offer himself as quoted in Apesh*t

So it goes without saying that Rihanna is a style icon so naturally, it makes sense for her to delve into the fashion world. The singer has teamed up with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton to launch a line of luxury goods. No word on when the line is premiering just yet but believe me we are here waiting with bated breath. Wendy Williams Absent from Show Indefinitely

The Wendy Williams Show took to their facebook page to share that Wendy will not be returning this coming Monday January 21 as originally planned after having a panel of guests hosts this past week. The page states she is undergoing treatment for her Graves disease and is unsure of her return at this time. The show will air repeat episodes during this coming week and will resume new episodes starting January 28 with a variety of guest hosts. Check out the official message below.

Now many have speculated that Wendy has actually not returned due to the stress and embarrassment caused by her husband allegedly getting his mistress Sharina Hudson pregnant. The Hosts of The Real FINALLY Squash Salary Rumors

After a whole month, The Real host finally address the rumors regarding them clashing over their salary differences. It was reported that the hosts were upset that Tamera Mowry receives the highest salary and the other pannelists salaries are considerably lower. How much lower? Well here is the breakdown of the annual salaries:

• Tamera - $2.5 million
• Loni - $950,000
• Jeannie - $200,000
• Adrienne $200,000

Yikes! If any of that is true, it looks like Jeannie and Adrienne make a very small fraction of what Tamera makes.

It was also reported that the lower paid hosts had reached out to Tamera & Loni in an effort to have her help them negotiate higher salaries and were denied. Well, the host claimed on today's show that all of this is simply not true and we would hear it from them first if it was. Watch and listen below.

Rihanna Sues Dad for Illegally Using 'Fenty' Name for Profit

Rihanna's father, Robert Fenty has started an entertainment company titled 'Fenty' Entertainment, despite the singers many cease and desist attempts asking him not to. It's reported that 'Fenty Entertainment', which by the way, is in no way, shape, or form affiliated with Rihanna reportedly attempted to secure tour bookings throughout Latin America worth $15 million dollars. New Music: Tank - Dirty

R&B singer Tank has just dropped his music video to the song 'Dirty'.

THE PLOT: Tank goes to a bar and meets an attorney who came to wind down after dealing with her stressful case load. The mystery lady who does not reveal her face (save for a brief compact mirror moment) introduces herself as Ms. Samantha Block. The two later head back to a hotel where they get down and 'dirty'. The attorney then realizes she has been set up and the video is to be continued.

Rumor has it this is Tank's newly wed wife, Zena Foster. What do you think?

Drake Just Revealed $10 Million Las Vegas Residency Deal

Wendy Show Returns Minus the Gossip Guru Host

The Wendy Williams Talk Show returned from winter hiatus today missing Wendy. according to the show's Instagram, she is still recovering from a hairline fracture to her shoulder and wants to be in tip top shape before returning. The show has resumed live taping as of January 14th with panelists Don Lemon, Elizabeth Wagmeister, Heather McDonald, and Judge Faith Jenkins as the fill ins. 

I watched a bit of the Hot Talk that is on the Wendy Williams Show Youtube channel and it was a bit underwelming. I can honestly say no one can do the iconic 'How You Doin' as animated as Wendy does. I was rooting for Judge Faith. I love her TV court show.

The rumor mill says that the real reason Wendy has not returned is due to the controversy surrounding Wendy's husband Kevin (or is it Kelvin) and his alleged mistress. What do you think is the real reason she has not yet returned? Sound off in the comments below.

Tiffany Evans - Switch Up

So ya girl Tiffany Evans has just released a video to go along with her new single "Switch Up". The songstress actually directed this one herself. You go girl! The song is about a woman who just broke up with her good for nothing ex and is out living her best life.

The video starts with Tiffany and at work explaining to her co-worker how she broke up with her ex.

Then her friends come in and surprise her with a new boo.

They get a lil routy and the manager gets upset and kicks them all out.

There is a choreography bit which isn't bad.

Towards the end, Tiffany and her new boo kiss and the video is "to be continued".

Ms. Evans has come quite some way from her Star Search days. I find this track to be a bop and the orange hair is super fly!
